White Duck

Great for products that need the White color but not necessarily the quality or expense of White Goose. Ideally, it is used with light fabrics and when a smaller feather is desired. Compared to White Goose, White Duck is much more economical.

Grey Duck

The most common type of species that we sell.  It is great for decorative pillow, upholstery and any other fill that does not require the white “pristine” color or the high fill power of Goose.  It offers the same quality as White Duck but at a slightly cheaper price.

Feather Blends vs. Down Blends

Blends with more feathers offer more support than down.  So a cushion or a decorative pillow may be better with a higher % feather fill instead of down.  However since feathers do have a small shaft to them, at times they can feel a bit more rough than a blend with down in it.  Therefore, adding small amounts of down to the mixture (like a 10/90 or 25/75) will soften the fill but the feathers will still maintain the support.

Blends with more down in it, offer higher fill powers and more loft or “fluffiness” to it.  This is great for pillows, comforters, sleeping bags and jackets.  Adjusting the Down content is a main factor in price.  Higher Down fills equal higher prices whereas a lower down fill, such as a 50/50, has a lower price per pound.

Mostly used in bedding products where the white pristine color is desired. The down and feathers are larger than Duck, but is also much higher in price. White goose is considered to be the most luxurious of all species

"Pillows, Comforters, Seating."

Just as high in quality as White Goose but because of the grey color it is typically not used in Bedding. Grey Goose is best for high fill power items in darker fills, like sleeping bags and down jackets

The numbers in the blends tell you the percentage of Down and Feathers that are in the mix. The first number indicates the Feather percentage. (Down/Feathers)

  5/95  =   5% Down  /  95% Feathers    25/75  =   25% Down  /  75% Feathers
